He shoots and scores… again. Lionel Messi has taken the lead for the most-liked post ever on Instagram with a photo of him lifting the World Cup.
Apparently winning the gold trophy wasn't enough for the Argentinian star when his team won the France in a historic World Cup final on Sunday.
His post on platform social network received more than 61 millions likes, surpassing the previous record holder – an infamous photo of an egg (@world_record_egg) which had 56,6 million likes.
The Egg World Record on Instagram is now full of fans cracking jokes and celebrating yet another Lionel Messi win.
A user said "Messi is cooking an egg omelette", while another: "King surpassed it."
In Messi's record-breaking post, the football legend can be seen embracing his victory, smiling gloriously, as he lifts the trophy above his head.
