The Locish, a mobile application that offers users the ability to request and receive suggestions from people with similar tastes and fun styles about places where they can enjoy their meal or drink,
On the basis of the funding received by the Greek startup Locish, founders Alexis Christodoulou and Grigoris Zontanos spoke at today's press conference on the recent round of funding and their future plans to conquer the US market.
The mobile app, which allows users to ask and receive recommendations from people with similar tastes and entertainment styles for places to eat or drink, recently secured $820.000 in funding from international investors and is preparing to launch its new improved version in Greece and America. This funding round was led by the investment scheme Odyssey Jeremy Partners, while Jeremy Open Fund II participated, as well as three angel investors from Silicon Valley.
This capital is invested for the overall reformation of the application, with substantial improvements in its technical, functional and aesthetic characteristics. The app made its debut in the startup world in March 2013. Now, the app has an expanded community of users, not just limited to the travel crowd. Community members share information and exchange experiences with people who have similar taste and style of entertainment. Its new improved version is to be launched, in May, in Athens, New York and San Francisco.
