Make the 6s kitchen scales with the Plum-O-Meter

The developers of the iPhone 6s did not stay with their hands after Huawei weighing oranges, and they looked for a similar solution. That's how it was created Plum-O-Meter, an application designed to help you choose the heaviest plums in the popular market.

iPhone Plum-O-Meter

The secret is on the new 3D Touch screen that is pressure-sensitive. With the transducer pre-existing on the device, the manufacturers of the application only had to convert pressure to weight.

Unfortunately, the application can only display weight as a percentage of the maximum allowable screen power so you will not have much help with the next recipe in your kitchen. For your gastronomic needs, however, you can install the S extensiontoo Sepp over the FlexMonkey to weigh tomatoes like in the video below

In both cases, the iPhone reports slightly different numbers depending on where the fruit was placed, so despite the fancy title of this article don't expect to replace your precision kitchen scale just yet – although it's possible someone will improve the code later, to calculate the variations across the screen and give us Results.

It's also strange but the pressure sensitivity does not seem to work with soft and peeled fruits and vegetables, as it could not detect a potato.

However, if you insist, you can see the source code for the Plum-O-Meter here, and the modification of Stoo Sepp here.
