How would you react if you received an email from someone claiming you hit their car? The sender has even attached a photo of her damages that you caused him and urges you to see her. If you opened it, it would be a big mistake.
Fraudsters seem to have discovered the above way to trick their victims by sending them an e-mail titled “Traffic accident with your car.”
"Good morning! You hit my car on the road. Look at these photos in the attached file and contact me as soon as possible. Otherwise, I will take legal action, "the message says.
The file it contains (the name can always be changed) is called IMG_0612.zip, and inside the zip there is no picture, but a Malware. THE Cisco discovered the first messages in March 17, but according to Hoax Slayer and others, they still still circulate today.
If you encounter such a message, do not open it. If you open it, do not run the attachments as it is malware .exe and not photos, as the message claims.
If you are already a victim of this scam, scan your entire computer with a reliable anti-virus and change all passwords that useste on the internet.
