One and a half years ago, Malwarebytes released a beta version of the extension for Firefox and Google Chrome browsers.
After the necessary tests, the company went live recently την σταθερή έκδοση επέκτασης με νέο όνομα “Malwarebytes Browser Guard”.
The extension as mentioned above is available for browsers We chrome and Firefox in the respective add-on stores.
Malwarebytes initially claimed that the extension was the first of its kind, and is available worldwide to prevent fraudulent technical support scams.
The new Browser Guard extension speeds up browsing up to 4 times faster, eliminating ads and any unwanted content.
The company confirms that this is needed to improve its communication with customers (okay?).
Malwarebytes Browser Guard is currently available for Chrome (link above). The company appears to have pulled the Firefox extension, but after patching it it will be listed again on the Mozilla add-ons website. After installing the extension, the icon Malwarebytes will appear on your computer's toolbar, and it will start protecting you from ads and trackers.
It should be noted that the company updates the installed Malwarebytes Browser Extension beta (former name) to the Malwarebytes Browser Guard fixed extension. So if you have already installed the beta version of the extension, your extension will be updated to the latest fixed version 2.0.1.
We're also looking forward to the Firefox expansion, of course.
