His team Manjaro Linux announced today the release of Manjaro Linux 22.0 “Sikaris” as the latest version of this popular distribution based on Arch Linux.
Six months after the release of Manjaro Linux 21.3 “Ruah”, Manjaro Linux 22.0 “Sikaris” has been released running from the newly released Linux 6.1 kernel series. It features the Xfce 4.18 desktop, while the versions KDE Plasma and GNOME come with the latest updates KDE Plasma 5.26.4 (KDE Frameworks 5.101 and KDE Gear 22.12), and GNOME 43.2.
The new Manjaro Linux 22.0 is available for download from the official website or using the links below for direct download.
However, these ISOs are intended for fresh installations because Manjaro Linux is a rolling distribution. This means that if you update an existing installation (command sudo pacman -Syu), you will have the latest released version.
