The operating system Manjaro Linux was updated today to the release 2016-07-28. For those not familiar with the operating system, the Manjaro distribution is based on the Arch Linux and its goal is to make things easier for beginners users of Linux.
Manjaro's installation is simple and can be done with two different graphical applications but also traditional via the terminal.
In general, Manjaro Linux deserves your attention and leaves a lot of promise for the future. THE myth What we found while working with the distribution is that it is not exactly a distribution for beginners but rather for fans of the Arch platform who do not have time.
Manjaro Linux automates a lot of processes that Arch has to do manually.
So today the distribution was updated by adding new ones characteristics but also improvements to existing ones.
Most of the kernels used are updated.
QT was updated in 5,7
The distribution KDE version now uses Plasma 5.7.2, Apps 16.04.3, and Framework 5.24
Firefox was updated on 47.0.1 and Thunderbird on 45.2.0
Mesa has acquired new features in the 12.x series
Majority of the Python and Haskell packages were updated
Lumina Desktop is almost ready to view its first stable version (1.0b2)
The new Calamares 2.3 now supports end2end luks encryption (and swap)
Added security fixes added.
One of the most important updates, of course, is to update the Kernel to the latest version of 4.7 that has just been released!
We highly recommend that you try the rolling delivery.
