McAfee Q2 Threats Report: The statistics data concerning malware appearing on a daily basis is alarming, with a new threat reportedly emerging every quarter of a second. In other words, 240 modified malware appear every minute that passes.

The most active botnet appears to be Dapato, also known as Carberp, responsible for spreading a large number of infections.
