The pro-Palestinian group hackers who call themselves KDMS Team have violated her website Metasploit, a leading security company, using a fax machine.
The hack was a simple DNS redirect, which allowed the attackers to change the files that tell browsers who the web Server of the website. As you can understand the hit was not directly on server of the website but in the DNS that redirected visitors to another site.
In this case, as reported by Guardian, the notable thing is that the redirection was carried out via a fax received by Register.com, which hosts its domain Metasploit.
"We are at procedure assessment of the situation," reports Rapid7, the parent company of Metasploit, "but it appears that the website was hijacked through a fake request changes DNS that arrived at Register.com by fax. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
