Microsoft announced today that the service security that uses for the Cloud (Cloud App Security) and is based on the technology resulting from the acquisition of Adallom in 2015, it is now available for anyone who wishes to use it.
“The solution provides a set of capabilities to help design firms enforce a process to secure the use of the Cloud. From discovery and exploration of possibilities, to control and protection,” the Cloud App Security team says in a post.
"It is easy to deploy, install and use and provides instant out-of-the-box features, as well as rich unlocking advanced features."
In general, these tools allow companies to see which cloud services the employees use, and then they can limit this use.
The service can be integrated with firewalls and proxies from various vendors, including Blue Coat, Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, Juniper, and Sophos.
With regard to cloud services, the new tool can be easily used for Amazon Web Services, Box, Dropbox, Google Apps, Office 365, ServiceNow, and Salesforce.
The launch of the technology means that Microsoft is now competing with Skyhigh Networks, Netskope, Elastica, and other cloud security companies.
