Microsoft has Cloud App Security for everyone

Microsoft today announced that Cloud App Security, based on the technology that resulted from 2015's acquisition of Adallom, is now available to anyone who wants to use it.Microsoft Cloud App Security

“The solution provides a set of capabilities to help the planning to enforce a process to secure the use of the Cloud. From discovery and exploration of capabilities, to control and protection,” the Cloud App Security team said in a release.

"It is easy to deploy, install and use and provides instant out-of-the-box features, as well as rich unlocking advanced features."

In general, the these allow companies to see which cloud services employees are using, and can then limit that use.

The service can be integrated with firewalls and proxies from various vendors, including Blue Coat, Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, Juniper, and .

With regard to cloud services, the new tool can be easily used for Amazon Web Services, Box, Dropbox, Google Apps, Office 365, ServiceNow, and Salesforce.

Its launch means Microsoft is now competing with Skyhigh Networks, Netskope, Elastica, and other cloud security companies.
