Microsoft announced the presentation of the new version of DirectX, on March 20, during the Game Developers Conference, which will take place in San Francisco, United States.
The announcement was made via a Microsoft teaser site coupled with a tweet from an account called DirectX 12. The announcement website also displays company logos such as AMD, Intel, Nvidia, and Qualcomm, the graphics processors and graphics chipsets that support the DirectX standard.
DirectX 12 is the latest addition to a long line of APIs (Application Programming Interface) which are designed to allow Microsoft platforms to manage video games and media files.
More details about DirectX 12 will be revealed during the Game Developers Conference, but what has become known is that developers have reportedly asked Microsoft, better tools για να επιτύχουν καλύτερες επιδόσεις σε κάθε είδους platform: PC, tablet, smartphone και κονσόλα.
