It's already 2016, and Microsoft is getting ready to make Windows 10 a recommended download in the Windows Update, which means that those using Windows 7 and 8.1 are likely to upgrade to the new operating system by mistake.
Microsoft has received a lot of criticism for damaging its image, so the company decided to provide information on how its customers can disable the Get Windows 10 application and avoid the offered upgrade. (!) Of course it took a while, but such a move is better than not making any move….

The method is not new, as it is almost available from Windows 10. But because we are talking about a Microsoft that we do not know anymore (with the aggressive promotion of the operating system that follows) we will describe the tweak but it will be good to have your mind.
How to disable the "Get Windows 10" application
Type regedit in the search and open the registry browser.
Follow the route:
HKLM \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows \ WindowsUpdate
Look for the DWORD called DisableOSUpgrade that has an input value of "1." If the entry does not exist, you can create one and Get Windows 10 will disappear.
But because, as we mentioned above, you can never be sure with the "new" Microsoft, it would be good before installing any information to check before clicking and to allow installation.
