Google released one emergency security update to fix a 0day in the program browsing Chrome. The security flaw, rated very high severity, was reported to the company on March 23, 2022. Google said it is already aware of attacks using the vulnerability. The company did not provide further details on the scope of the attacks or the hackers' targets.
Microsoft has also released a security update for the Browser Edge which fixes the same problem. Edge, like Chrome, supports automatic updates, but they are not installed in real time on devices. So if you use Edge check for updates manually to install the security update as early as possible.

New version of Edge is 99.0.1150.55 and will require a reboot to complete the process. The update is available for all desktop operating systems supported by Edge.
Microsoft is monitoring the security gap in CVE-2022-1096, but does not provide additional information.
Microsoft's Edge browser is known to be based on Chromium, the same core used by Google's Chrome browser. So most security holes that affect the Google Chrome also affect other Chromium-based browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Vivaldi, Brave or Opera.
