Microsoft Edge ditches the old PDF reader to add Adobe Acrobat

According to the company below is the release schedule

March 2023: The new PDF engine is now available for regulars of the Edge.
Early May 2024: Rollout to regular users is expected to be complete.
Mid-summer 2024: Managed participation policy also available .
Early 2025: The legacy PDF engine will be removed.

Users can access the new PDF engine by enabling the “New PDF Viewer” flag at edge://flags internally.

Those who prefer the old PDF reader can continue to use it for now. Either way, it will be removed for good in early 2025.
