Microsoft is delaying it support fee of Windows 10 version 1803 for certain categories of users. The initial date for the end of the support was November 10, 2020 and the new date is May 11, 2021.
The end of support means that the operating system will no longer receive security updates. SDKs to be supported until 2021 for the Windows 10 of version 1803 will be Enterprise, Education and IoT Enterprise, according to a Publication Microsoft on August 26.
The support fee for Home, Pro, Pro Education and Pro for Workstation versions for Windows 10 of version 1803 has already come from November 12, 2019.
The reason for delaying the end of support date is user feedback indicating that the businesses they need more time amid the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.
Microsoft plans to provide security updates for the Windows 10 SDK version 1803 we mentioned above via Windows Update, Windows Server Update Services and from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
In March, Microsoft announced that it would extend support for Windows 10 1709 support for some customers due to the pandemic. The initial expiration date of Windows 10 1709 support was scheduled for April 14, 2020, while with the extension it went to October 13, 2020 for SDK Enterprise, Education and IoT customers.
