Why Microsoft wants to take you to Windows 10

Microsoft's aggressive Windows 10 rollout policy is well known. From this website we have mentioned many of the “dirty ” of the company trying to install the new operating system on as many computers as it can…windows 10 spy

So if you run Windows 7 or Windows 8 or 8.1 and you want to upgrade, you should use third-party applications to block the continuous nags that are pushing you to put Windows 10, an operating system that does not offer breakthrough or significant improvements.

Με μια επίσημη δήλωση που έγινε κατά τη του πρόσφατου επεισοδίου του Windows Weekly (podcasts, with Paul Thurrot and Mary Jo Foley), Chris Capossela of Microsoft (head of the Windows sales department) said Microsoft does not see anything wrong with the current Windows 10 promotion. Capossela said the company is trying to avoid many versions in the Windows section by moving everyone to the new Windows 10 operating system as soon as possible.

Windows 10 comes as "Windows as a Service" and Microsoft is interested in getting every user right away to the new operating system, which has a store with free apps or paid apps, and an overall reduction in control of your computer.

Caposella said:

Look, we made Windows 10 free for anyone who has Windows 7 or 8. You can call it freemium if you want, but it was a decision, we did not get a little heart.

For us, it is incredibly important to try to stop the fragmentation of the Windows installation and so we believe that any machine that is capable of running Windows 10 should do everything we can to convince people to move to Windows 10 .

We always want to give them a choice, and we try to find the right UI that we believe will satisfy as many people as possible.

The only problem with Mr. Caposella's claims is that, firstly, Windows 7 is no less secure than Windows 10, and secondly, that older versions of WIndows only mean less for Microsoft from ad-supported app store.

If you are in Windows 7 and you can use applications with the quality of desktop applications (they have much more features and performance without problems), this is of no importance to Microsoft.

In a nutshell, they want to replace the Windows 7 experience with one that is not that good and they are looking for profit with an App Store model with paid ads and apps. Plus revenue from Bing and Cortana.

So, keeping this in mind, you should be very skeptical about what Microsoft is forcing you to force.

You should expect more tricks to try to persuade you to install Windows 10. They may (already mentioned) come as "suggested updates", or with a dialog box that does not have a button to decline the upgrade.

The company has plenty of tricks to finally force you to install a cloned Apple system. This model worked well for Apple, and it seems Microsoft is trying to adopt it.

Personally, I stopped using Windows. I took this decision for a number of reasons. The main reason is the company's increased tendency to collect personal data but also why the company stopped issuing changelogs of updates. I use Linux as my main operating system and I am very pleased.
