Η Microsoft μόλις κυκλοφόρησε μια νέα ενημερωμένη έκδοση για υπολογιστές με Windows 7 and 8.1 which will inform users that the free upgrade offer to Windows 10 is coming to an end.
What does the update do? Users who install KB3173040 have a large window that says, “Sorry to interrupt, but it's important. The free Windows 10 upgrade offer expires on July 29. ”
There are many options on this screen, from the standard upgrade but also two different options that allow you to set the reminder to notify you up to three times or never again in the future.
The official KB page indicates that the update was released on June 30 for computers with Windows 7 και 8.1 και να αναφέρεται σαν “συνιστώμενη ενημέρωση.” Έτσι είναι επιλεγμένη από προεπιλογή.
Microsoft explains the role of the new notification:
“The notice is a reminder that the free upgrade offer to Window 10 expires July 29, 2016. Microsoft recommends that you upgrade to Windows 10 before the offer ends. You can choose to upgrade directly from the notification, dismiss the notification permanently, or choose to be reminded later.”
According to the KB page, the message will not be displayed again if the upgrade to Windows 10 is blocked by any means, or if you are already running the latest version of Get the Windows 10 (the application will be removed on July 29 according to the promises Microsoft).
Additionally, if you've ever uninstalled Windows 10 after an upgrade, you won't see this one notice.
