Yes and for Linux: Microsoft released the Teams app, a group chat program for the Linux platform, as a preview yesterday, December 10.

No it's April Fools, Microsoft Teams for Linux systems is already available for download today in .deb and .rpm formats (Link at the end of publication). Executives at the company said all key application features would be available to Linux users as well.Microsoft Teams

Η δημοσίευση στο blog της Microsoft αναφέρει ότι "η εφαρμογή οft Teams είναι η πρώτη εφαρμογή του Office που έρχεται σε επιτραπέζιους υπολογιστές Linux".

Is Microsoft hinting that we might see that too or some other Office apps on Linux?

No one knows, as there is still no official placement. It would be interesting, though, as Microsoft's popular Office would have to compete for free LibreOffice.

Microsoft already offers the Teams application on Windows, Mac, mobile computers με iOS και Android αλλά και στο Web μέσω του that you use. It is the competitor of the Sack application that already has a client for Linux.
