Η Microsoft managed recently to arrest a former employee who had previously leaked copies of Windows 7 and 8 on the Internet, but according to court documents, the company was able to identify the leaker when they "read" the messages from his account Hotmail's. Of course this was done without a court decision.
The company claims that it is perfectly legal to check Hotmail or Outlook.com accounts without first getting court permission because what it is actually doing is scanning its own servers to get information about a specific case. Did anyone talk about it privacy of our private lives?
Microsoft vice president and chief executive officer Frank Shaw mentioned in one statement that the company can look at its users' accounts for specific information, but it does not, in order to give its users the security of privacy.
Remember that Microsoft with the Scroogled campaign excuses Google because it reads Gmail's messages. This particular Microsoft campaign is something that reminds us of the politicians of Greece. We are not committed to new proposals by doing exactly the opposite, with responsibility, but we blame the rival company for continually pointing out what bad is doing.
News like this should be a constant reminder that there is no safety on the internet. Each company, citing the fact that the data is stored on its own servers, has the “right” to use them as she wants.
