Η Microsoft is reportedly developing a new service called Microsoft WiFi. The details were leaked today by the microsoftwifi.com. While the website no longer displays details, when it was online described the service and said it would offer "free access to the Internet around the world" so that users could be "productive on the go."
The Microsoft WiFi website was originally flagged by a user of Twitter h0x0d, the same man who revealed recently Microsoft Earn. 
The page said:
Don't waste time filling forms with personal information or managing different carriers to get connected. Sign in once and you are done: you will automatically be connected to a vast range of WiFi providers around the world.
VentureBeat asked the company for a comment on the new service and a Microsoft spokesman said:
"We can confirm that we are working on a new service, called Microsoft WiFi, that will bring free Wi-Fi to millions of people. We look forward to sharing more details with you when the service is available. ”
The Microsoft WiFi application will be a cross-platform. Before downloading the site, there were downloads of Microsoft WiFi for Windows, Mac, Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
Following the announcement of the new service, Microsoft WiFi will only be available on:
- Active Skype WiFi subscribers (via Microsoft Work & Play Bundle or Surface 2 + Skype WiFi Bundle)
- To the employees of companies that use the Microsoft Office 365
- Customers who received a special WiFi offer from Microsoft
Of course at the start of the service we will have to wait for several offers from Microsoft to promote the new product.
The Microsoft WiFi service seems to be the same idea as the pay-as-you-go service that automatically connects you to free public Wi-Fi hotspots.
But it seems to be more than a rebranding because it targets a much larger audience: 10000000 Wi-Fi hotspots in 130 countries.
