Such as we mentioned yesterday, some Windows 7 users were forced to upgrade to Windows 10, as Windows Update gave them no choice but to restart their computer to start installation.
So today the company with a statement released by Ars, confirms all the above mentioning that it was just a mistake.
What was the "mistake"?
Basically, the optional upgrade to Windows 10 was made mandatory by default, which meant that Windows 7 was downloaded and installed on computers automatically.
The company stated that all this happened completely by accident and that it has remove already them settings of these parameters giving users the option to install or not install Windows 10.

In the recent Windows update, this option was not present by default. It was a mistake that has been corrected.”
says the company.
Of course, it is very hard to believe that it was just a mistake. Especially when we know that the company is aiming to install X Windums 10 on one billion devices up to 2017.
