Ivan Davidov announced the new edition of Minimal Linux Live (MLL). The 15-Dec-2019 edition. MLL is a tiny, educational Linux distribution designed to be built from scratch on your computer using a collection of automated shell scripts.
It offers a basic environment with only the Linux kernel, the GNU C library and utilities programs of Busybox.
Changes to the new version include:
“Updated base software – new MLL uses Linux kernel 5.4.3, and GNU C library 2.30 with Busybox 1.31.1. The ISO image file is 10MB (x86_64) and requires 256MB of RAM to run properly.
It has DNS solutions from CloudFlare - by default MLL has three DNS solutions: Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8), Quad4 (4.4.4.4) and Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1)
It has the GraalVM overlay bundle containing JDK, Python, Ruby and Node.JS, as well as the OpenJDK overlay bundle containing JDK from the AdoptOpenJDK project. ”
