H Mist.io is a new Greek launch, launched only in the 2013 Summer, and aims to help system administrators and developers monitor servers running public or private clouds from anywhere using any device with internet access (laptop, smartphone or tablet ).
Με αυτό τον τρόπο θέλησαν να βοηθήσουν τους developers αλλά και τις μικρές εταιρίες που δεν έχουν τη δυνατότητα να απασχολούν administrators, με στόχο την αύξηση του χρόνου ζωής των server them, on the one hand, and, on the other, the reduction of their expenses. So, after intensive meetings to find a solution, in May 2013 the first closed test (private beta) started. Today this innovative company employs a total of seven people on a permanent basis, while maintaining several external partners.
At procedure The fact that all the founders had already worked together at Unweb.me was a catalyst for the formation of the company, so the idea was born and developed collectively. Of course, there were no shortage of problems in the process of setting up Mist.io as the bureaucracy in both countries where the company operates (United States, Greece) was present throughout the process. Mist.io has an international orientation as a large part of its customers come from abroad, where the penetration of cloud technologies is greater than the corresponding Greek one.
One of Mist.io's most rewarding moments was when it was one of the Tech All Stars finalists in 2013 Berlin για τις Top-12 EU startups, ένα εγχείρημα που οργανώνεται από την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή. Αυτή η επιτυχία γέμισε τις βαλίτσες των ανθρώπων της Mist.io με εμπειρία και γνώσεις, κάτι που επίσης εισέπραξε η εταιρεία από την συγκατοίκηση της με άλλες ελληνικές startups στο Collab Athens but also in iQbility.
According to CEO and co-founder of Mist.io, Christodoulos Psaltis, "The prospects for funding are good, both in the US and within the EU due to the increase in investment through Jeremie funds."
The right guidance but also the possible networking for the start that any young person who has an idea can ask can be found in various accelerators such as Endeavor Greece, Metavallon and Founder Institute. The next, equally important, step is to seek funding, either through European Union programs (information at http://ec.europa.eu/easme/sme_en.htm) or from other international Funds such as Openfund. There is also the alternative of funds coming from crowdfunding platforms such as Groopio (http://www.groopio.com) and Give & Fund (http://www.giveandfund.com) to complete your idea.
