Mozilla seems to be abandoning smartphones after announcing today that it will stop developing and selling Firefox OS for smartphones.
The announcement was made today at the Mozilla event "MozlandoIn Orlando. Mozilla then released a full statement from Ari Jaaksi, Mozilla Connected Devices SVP.
“Firefox OS has proven the versatility of the Web, from low-end smartphones to HDTVs. However, we are unable to provide the user with the best possible experience, so we will stop providing Firefox OS for smartphones through channela transport.

The Firefox OS first unveiled in 2013, targeting the developing world and mobile phones Appliances low cost.
