The Mozilla Foundation seems to be preparing to bring privacy settings to the browser Tor project in the Firefox web browser to provide better privacy protection with additional options.

Let's look at three Tor options already added to Firefox 50. Firefox 50 is available on Nightly Development Channel. But this means that until the final version of Firefox 50 these improvements can be postponed to be added to a later version.
The first patch blocks the list of plugins and mimeTypes. Web pages can retrieve this information from the browser, and use them for fingerprinting. With the patch turned on Firefox does not return any information to the sites.
The second patch works similarly. Firefox returns 0 for screen.orientation.angle and "landscape-primary" for screen.orientation.type when web pages or applications request this information.
The third and final patch removes it choice “Open with” in the download dialog.
Tor privacy settings are not enabled by default for the Firefox audience. Let's see how:
From Firefox 41, there is the privacy.resistFingerprinting attribute, which is the main choice of Tor browser.
The following instructions are for Firefox 50 Nightly.
Type about: config in the Firefox address bar.
Confirm you will be careful not to lose the warranty :).
The privacy.resistFingerprinting preference does not exist by default.
Right-click on the main area, and select New> Boolean from the context menu.
Name the new privacy.resistFingerprinting option.
Set its value to True to turn it on.
To exclude the "Open with" option when downloading files:
While you're still about about: config, search for browser.download.forbid_open_with
Double-click on it and set the value to true and enable it.
Please note that every browser security add-on is welcome. Features will not be turned on by default, but there will be more protection options for those who want it.
