Audio and mute pointers to adjust them are in the form of extensions to browsers, such as Muter for Firefox or Mute Tab for Chrome.
Όμως η διαχείριση τους γίνεται ανά καρτέλα. Ενώ οι εφαρμογές αυτές είναι χρήσιμες στην τρέχουσα μορφή τους, υπάρχει ακόμα περιθώριο για βελτίωση. Για παράδειγμα η νέα μορφή της extensions Mute Tab Shortcuts for Chrome.
In addition to allowing you to mute the active tab with a shortcut, it gives you a general shortcut to mute all tabs in Chrome so that no sound comes out of the program browsing for as long as you wish.
The first thing you need to do is install the extension Mute Tab Shortcuts on your Chrome. It does not require a special license and does not add an icon on your Chrome main toolbar.
You will notice that the extension will not work after installation.
The reason for this is that you need to enable it from the Chrome Experimental page for the first time to become available.
The easiest way to do this is to type in the address bar
chrome: // flags / # enable-tab-audio-muting
and click the Enable link in “Enable control UI control for tab audio muting” (Enable tab audio muting UI control).
Then restart Chrome and you're ready.
The shortcuts will be activated immediately after restarting.
- To mute the current tab, use Alt-Shift-M.
- To mute all tabs, use Alt-Shift-comma.
- In order to catslowto mute all tabs, use Alt-Shift-Period
