The National Cyber Attack Response Authority (National CERT) is an agency security which falls under National Intelligence Service or NIS). So the EYP has the role of Information Security Technical Authority (INFOSEC) and National Cyber Attack Response Authority (National CERT).The mission of the National Integrity Response Authority is to prevent and statically and actively deal with online attacks against communications networks, information storage facilities and IT systems. In addition, the Authority is responsible for collecting, processing and informing competent authorities.
1. It is the competent national authority to address and protect against electronic threats - attacks mainly against the Public Entity and Critical Infrastructures of the country, according to N. 3649 / 2008 and PD. 126 / 2009.
2. It has the necessary scientific staff and the necessary equipment for handling, developing strategy and dealing with threats and attacks as well as collecting, processing and distributing relevant information.
3. For its more efficient fulfillment Missions, cooperates with other National and non-CERTs, with the corresponding ones services of other countries and international organizations, as well as Public Agency Services for related issues.
The National Authority for Countering Electronic Attacks provides services related to its scope better safetyof the Information Systems of the wider Public Sector. In particular, the services provided by the National CERT are the following:
- Informing the Public Entity for security incidents.
- Coordinate the respondents to deal with security incidents.
- Analysis and evaluation of security incidents.
- Suggest the protection measures required to eliminate the impact of a security incident.
- Malware Analysis.
- Perform Security Checks on PC of the public sector.
- Issuing general instructions for securing the PS. of the public sector.
