Netflix just released the simplest internet speed test. It is called Fast.com.
It's incredibly minimal, and your speed loads are instantaneous, probably because there are no ads. It measures only the download speed of your Internet service provider (ISP) and displays the top speed with huge digits after a few seconds of testing.
Η company says:
Fast.com is a simple simple way to epriceconsumers what speed their ISP is providing. It is not an analysis of an engineering network or a diagnostic suite.
Netflix lets you compare your results with Speedtest.net, which provides detailed speed results Missions, latency as well as other metrics.
Of course, all of this is part of the company's ongoing vendetta against the slow speeds of some ISPs. The site says very blatantly in the FAQ:
"If the results from fast.com and other speed tests often show a lower speed than you paid for, you can discuss the results with your provider."
