Netgear's blunder: how to transfer pirate films

A post at Reddit, shows us how Netgear routers can be used for piracy. The fact would not be so remarkable, but as you will read below, the author of the tutorial is the company itself.pirates Netgear

However, apart from the above, Genie also has a feature called “Turbo Transfer”, which allows users to quickly transfer files between computers on the same .

Like all manufacturers, Netgear provides instructions on how to use this feature.

Here comes the blunder from the author of tutorial…. The author forgot that Internet piracy is illegal.

Things start quite innocent with the chart below.

But then the Netgear employee forgets the basics of the Internet:

For those who have not detected the employee's blunder in the above OFFICIAL picture in Netgear's tutorial, the author explains how users can send a pirated rip of Michael Bay's film Pain and Gain on a network.

Possibly what makes matters worse is the fact that the movie appears to have been downloaded from RARBG, one of the most popular sites in the world.

Although unusual, this is not the first time a company forgot to hide it from downloading illegal material.

According to TorrentFreak, 2008, John Lewis used aXXo releases to promote iMac and a year later, Saturn, the largest electronics retailer in Europe, was trying to sell Macbooks by displaying pirate films.

From the following link you can find a copy of the Netgear tutorial because it is expected to download it soon…
