Last month the popular Popcorn Time was shut down, as some of the web's key developersσελίδαs had to face lawsuits in Canada. The MPAA argued that it had achieved one of the biggest hits against her piracys in recent history, but its victory was rather temporary. 
According to a publication in Reddit, one of the original developers of the application, is preparing a new upgraded application. His endeavor seems to have been successful, as he has already released a fully functional version through Reddit.
The stable version uses new APIs and thus it is possible to projection movies and TV shows, without needing the YTS website as a provider.
Updating the application code through Reddit is just the beginning.
The people behind VPN.ht, the VPN service (created by some Popcorn Time developers), also informed the public, that a new updated version of streaming application is being prepared.
Popcorn Time Wally developer, who also runs the VPN.ht service, told TorrentFreak that Popcorn Time will come back.
"I'm still considering a full comeback, I just do not want to release a half working version," Wally said.
This of course shows that nothing is over and MPAA probably celebrated its victory very quickly ...
