The new Raspberry Pi 3 is out. The new Mini-PC it comes with new features, is much more powerful than its predecessor and has the same price ($35).
The new Raspberry Pi 3 has a new processor in the 64bit quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz. Project managers report that the new Raspberry Pi will be about ten times more powerful than the first generation.
The new Raspberry Pi also comes with 1GB of LPDDR2 RAM, and is fully compatible with applications that have been released so far.
Another interesting feature is the fact that it exists support for 802.11n wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.1 integrated directly into the board.
The only downside, if we can call it that way, is that the new board will need an 2.5A adapter if you want to connect multiple USB devices.
Raspberry Pi III is already available for sale at element14 and RS Components for $ 35 and very likely to see it in other markets soon.
