Microsoft has released a new application called News Bar, which is essentially a news ticker that can be applied to the Windows 10 desktop.
The application is in the Microsoft Store and is currently in beta. The application is also available for Greece, and we mention it because it is not yet available for all countries.
Microsoft says the News Bar app is essentially a news thread that lets you read the latest news, track stocks, and more, and there are some basic options like hiding the line for a specific time when you work.
"The News Bar brings you the latest news from its network Microsoft News, which includes over 4500 of the world's best-known journalism sources. Plus, you can set it to give you up-to-date information throughout the day on the stocks you're tracking," Microsoft explains in the app's description.
"Microsoft's Windows News Bar works just like the Taskbar (taskbar) of Windows. It's there when you need it, where you need it and how you need it. Customize it appearance of the settings for an experience that suits you. If you want to focus somewhere else, don't worry, you can minimize the News Bar at any time and then bring it back up when you're ready again.”
To install the app device should be running on Windows 10 version 1803 (April 2018 Update) or a newer version.
The application is free and can also be used on tablets without a mouse.
