Nintendo stops partreatment of her last consoles Wii U, according to a publication in the Japanese newspaper Nikkei.
This will fundamentally change the game company that seems to be shifting away from the Wii U and the old one platform 3DS to its upcoming dedicated NX device.
The publication says that Nintendo has already stopped manufacturing some of the Wii U accessories. And of course that makes sense.
Wii U has stayed very far behind Microsoft and Sony in the field of competition despite having a one year lead.
A $99.300.000.000 gaming industry like Nintendo shouldn't lose any more ground, and money on a platform that lags behind competitors.
The Nikkei publication also claims Nintendo will release the NX this year, something the company has said in the past.
But stopping the production of the Wii U, Nintendo could potentially launch the successor this year.
