The first official condemnation of the NSA's actions is a fact

courtA federal judge ruled today that a US Homeland Security surveillance that collects phone data from US citizens is unconstitutional. It is the first official condemnation of the NSA's spying activities.

In lawsuits filed against the government by activist Larry Klayman, the US District Judge Leon issued a preliminary injunction to block the NSA's (metadata collection) actions in which Klayman has at Verizon. However, the decision can be appealed by the NSA.

The ruling also said the government must destroy any Klayman phone metadata collected through the preof telephone surveillance by the NSA.
