The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday asked President Joe Biden's government to consider whether judges should investigate a case involving Meta's WhatsApp.
The question for the Biden administration is essentially, can they blame the Israeli group NSO for trading exploits of applicationof exchange messages to install spyware.
According to Reuters:
Judges are currently hearing NSO's appeal against a lower court ruling that convicted the Israeli company.
WhatsApp reported that the software was used to monitor 1.400 people, journalists, human rights activists and dissidents.
So the Supreme Court asked today Monday from the Ministry Justice to file a brief with their opinions on this legal issue.
