The list of managing directors was not announced by the White House, but sources from inside said Politico to the participants will be Google, Facebook and Yahoo. CNET contacted companies to comment but there is currently no information.

It is the second such meeting held by the president of the United States, with Silicon executives in recent months with an agenda on the US's controversial electronic surveillance programs.

One of the main executives expected to attend Friday's meeting is Mr of Facebook, who a week ago said he called the president to express his frustration with the NSA's surveillance practices. The Zuckerberg call came after the leak of documents revealed that the NSA is using an automated system called Turbine to break millions of computers.

We could say that from this meeting, we should be concerned not about what we will hear, but about the "agreements that will be made under the table."
