The latest version of Windows 10, (October 2018 Update) was re-released last month, but its adoption seems to be very slow, according to latest data of AdDuplex.
The company managed to collect data from approximately 5.000 applications in the Windows Store and use the AdDuplex SDK.
So that you don't think that only Microsoft and Google are collecting data. Nevertheless, AdDuplex also made the publication, which is encouraging, because at least it does not hide the collection data, unlike other companies that discover them (names not mentioned).
AdDuplex reports that the Windows October 2018 Update (it's version 1809) has only managed to capture 6,6% of the market share. THE report The company's data shows that the Windows 2018 October 10 Update has been installed twice as many times as last month, but adoption of the update is still very slow as the market share percentage is still in the single digits.
"The October 2018 Update is unique in the whole record of Windows 10 updates. While previous updates would spike the charts one to two months after they hit the market, the October 2018 Update still remains close to the zero axis on the chart,” reports AdDuplex.
In contrast, the April 10 Update is still the most used Windows 2018 operating system in December 10. According to the data and as you can see above, the April 2018 Update holds 2018% of the market share while the older Fall Creators Update is at 83,6%.
