Opera Software has just released the new stable version of Opera 41, the popular cross-platform browser for all supported desktop operating systems.
Perhaps the biggest new feature of Opera 41 is the improvement in timemovementof the new browser. According to Opera Software, with the new Opera 41 you'll notice an improvement of up to 86% in launch times, compared to previous versions.
The boot time improvement is reduced depending on the tabs to be made restore while opening the application. So for about 10 tabs, the app startup time is still over 50% according to Opera Software.
This is accomplished with a new priority feature that focuses on loading the tabs and the active tab for the first time at startup. All other open tabs in Opera 41 are loading at a lower priority, as reported by the company.
But in addition to the above, Opera 41 brings with two additional improvements. First, the new version promises better battery savings when you do video conferencing via WebRTC, giving priority to hardware-compatible codecs when available.
Additionally, Opera can limit the number of pixels when in save mode energy of battery and if possible can reduce CPU usage during the video conference.
