Oracle Hellas: Invitation to a workshop on Java in Athens

Η Oracle Hellas, in collaboration with the Java Hellenic User Group (jhug.gr) and under the auspices of the National Research & Technology Network (GRNET), organizes the first official, after 2009,
Java Day at . The event will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 9-18.00, at Cotsen Hall (Sweidias 54, Kolonaki), while it will also be broadcast via Livestreaming from diavlos.grnet.gr for those outside Athens.

Java Guru, , προγραμματιστές, ακαδημαϊκοί, εκπαιδευτικοί, φοιτητές, ερευνητές και όλα τα μέλη της κοινότητας Java προσκαλούνται σε μια τεχνολογική ημερίδα που θα περιλαμβάνει την παρουσίαση της Java 8 στην Ελλάδα, εξειδικευμένες τεχνικές ενότητες, case studies σημαντικών έργων και εφαρμογών βασισμένων σε τεχνολογία Java αλλά και ευρύτερες συζητήσεις σχετικά με το μέλλον της πλατφόρμας.

The event has already launched Call 4 Papers for market and academic members interested in introducing innovative applications and projects "that can change the way we communicate, collaborate and do business". Submission of content proposals will be completed on April 11. The proposals will be evaluated by the JD committee, consisting of 2 Oracle executives, 2 members of the Java Hellenic User Group and 2 academics. The final answers to those who have sent their proposals will be given by April 23.
