A journalist from the newspaper Sunday Post recently reported that the brother of a woman in need of a kidney transplant donated one on Facebook at of a donor. In less than a week he received 11 responses. In one of the responses a man offered his kidney for 30.000 British pounds. Those who answered were of course from far away , such as from India and Mexico.

An 22-old dad was willing to give his kidney for money, needed to get himself and his pregnant fiancé in their hometown of Hungary.

The representatives of the social network did not want to comment on the fact.

According to the UK Human Tissue Act, it is illegal to buy or advertise that it sells organs in the United Kingdom, said Alan Clamp, Managing Director of the Human Tissue Act, which oversees the regulation of organ donations, according to Sunday Post. Similar laws exist in almost every country all over the world. However, the long waiting lists of hospitals reaching up to 7 years and the unfavorable situation causes most patients to switch to the black market.
