Furniture had largely avoided the smart technology revolution in the home, but apparently their time has come. Or to be precise, she came Ori their. Ori Systems' robotic furniture comes, and seems to be a good idea especially for those who want to save space in an apartment or a small home.
Designer Yves Behar collaborated with Ori Systemsto create a series of architectural robotic units that can be used as your home furniture.
Ori uses modular mechatronics to deliver a full-scale sleepereyea, lounges, and offices in one unit. From a folding bed to a desk with adjustable shelves and cabinets, the system Ori (derived from origami) allows you to have additional space in your living room with the push of a button (or using the app).
Η company hasn't mentioned Ori Systems' pricing, but we do know that the first units will go on sale in early 2017, with a pilot program to follow.
