A Japanese company presented a unique design for drones: In a recent commercial report of Tokyo, LAPIS Semiconductor introduced Orizuru, a drone that looks like a paper crane and carries controllers to control it remotely.
As mentioned before, the crane is mainly made of paper and weighs 31 just a few grams.
His body consists of a 3D-printed nylon skeleton and paper layers. Manufacturers took three months to design, build and integrate the LAPIS microcomputer.
The Lazurite Fly microcomputer is reported to be 90 percent more energy efficient than its competitors (like Arduino) and is about the size of an SD card.
According to the company's plans Orizur will be released soon to the public so that drones' friends can build it on their own.
