The Facebook στην προσπάθεια του να κρατήσει τους users of security, has announced that it will soon begin sending notifications to accounts it suspects have either been hacked (even by the government) or that someone is trying to hack them.
The new account security additions were announced on the company's blog.
In a blog post about safety precautions, the Facebook says that the privacy of its users is very important to the company and for this:
And while we've taken every step to secure accounts we believe have been compromised, we've decided to send this additional warning if we have a strong suspicion that a attack probably government funded.
We do this because these types of attacks tend to be more advancedand dangerous than all others and to urge those affected to take the necessary steps to secure all their online accounts.
The message that will be displayed will be as shown below
Facebok also notes that these notices do not mean that the entire site has been violated as a whole.
So hopefully you will never see such a notification, but if you see, then it's time to finally change the password you had since you opened your account.
