The Outlook δεν είναι ένας απλός e-mail client. Αυτό είναι γνωστό. Μάλιστα, δεν είναι καν ένας απλός PIM (personal information manager), although it excels in exactly these two characteristics.
Outlook has several interesting additions with which we can increase functions and decrease them individually programs which we should open every time to do some specific things. For example, the simplest addition is the Hotmail Connector (which has not changed its name despite changing Hotmail to Outlook.com). As its name says, this addition allows us to use Microsoft's cloud e-mail through Outlook. 2003, 2007, and 2010 are supported, and all we have to do is import your account details into Outlook.com. We will then download all our emails and see it in the program as a second Inbox.
Another interesting and very useful addition is the Social Connector. And this supports 2003 to 2010 versions (Outlook 2013 has it all built-in) and allows us to link Windows Live, SharePoint, but also popular third-party services such as Facebook and LinkedIn within Outlook. If, in fact, we install the Social Connector in the View tab of the Ribbon a new icon called People Pane will appear. We select Normal and notice that in each incoming e-mail a small area appears at the bottom, which shows the activity of the particular sender in the services and Social Networks which we have connected.
