On Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April 2022, the Panhellenic Final of the FIRST LEGO League Educational Robotics Research and Innovation Competition will be held in Thessaloniki.
The top 50 teams that successfully qualified for the Panhellenic Final Competition of the Qualifiers in Volos, Rhodes, Crete, Athens, Xanthi, Ioannina and Thessaloniki compete shortly before representing us at the World Championships.
Among them are the four Greek teams, which have already been nominated and claim a place among the twenty best teams in the world, which will compete on June 21-23, 2022 in the USA. for their Innovation Project on solving real transport related problems. In addition, there will be the National Robotics Team that this year managed to win three medals for our country in the FIRST Global Olympics.
Through FIRST LEGO League Competitions and programs, children discover and embrace science and technology in the most fun way, gaining confidence in their abilities and believing in themselves, while teaching them valuable life skills. This is a collaboration of the Non-Profit Organization FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) and LEGO's educational sector Educations and is organized every year, since 1998, in more than 110 countries worldwide.
A total of 1.000 children, coaches and volunteers in the Challenge category for ages 9-16 will participate in the Panhellenic Final Competition.
The closing ceremony and the announcement of the qualifiers will take place on Sunday, April 3 at 14:00 live for all the teams in a fun and festive atmosphere.
