The MMD brand license partner of the monitors Philips, introduces the BDM4037UW, a 40-inch Philips Brilliance 4K Ultra HD LCD with MultiView. It is the largest 4K curved display currently on the market and includes Ultra Wide Color technology, which offers a wider range of colors for absolutely vivid images.
The BDM4037UW features a high-performance panel for UltraClear, 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution images. Still, this particular Philips screen uses an advanced vertical alignment technology that results in high static contrast ratios for extra vivid and bright images. Thanks to the optimized pixel management technology, the screen has an extra wide viewing angle of 178/178 degrees.
Supporting a wider color gamut - 85% of the NTSC range compared to the usual 72% - Ultra Wide Color technology expands the range of colors perceived by users and produces more realistic images. Unlike the usual enhancements that work by modifying color balance software settings, Ultra Wide Color technology improves hardware.
Artem Khomenko, Philips Product Manager at Philips for Monitors in Europe, says, "We are committed to providing advanced experience to our monitor users. Combining 4K technology with Ultra Wide Color on a convex screen, we are able to offer with this model amazing image clarity and plenty of multitasking space supported by the Philips MultiView feature. "
MultiView enables users to enjoy up to four input sources on one screen, each in Full HD resolution. Images can be set up in two different ways:
1) With Picture-by-Picture, which is useful in control rooms or the use of multiple devices, such as laptops online for more productive collaboration. This is a function that separates the screen into multiple segments.
2) With the function Picture-in-Picture, e.g. for the user to view the news feed in a small window while working on the rest of the screen.
The new Philips model is still equipped with Flicker-free technology to avoid flickering the screen and therefore eye fatigue, which is probably caused by some LED-backlit display users.
Taking all of the above into consideration and if you are a demanding professional who requires extremely detailed images in a CAD program, uses 3D graphics applications, or works on huge editing sheets, it is certain that this screen will animate your images and graphics.
The new Philips BDM4037UW display, with a retail selling price of € 749, is already available on the market.
