Pinta, the open source, multi-platform open source image design and editing software for GNU / Linux, Mac, Windows and BSD, has just been updated.
The Pinta app had stopped being updated around 5, so it's a surprise to see the release of Pinta 1.7.1, the first point release of Pinta version 1.7 (released 15 months ago, when the developers decided to continue the project).
Η new edition is primarily a bugfix update, but it also brings some new features, such as the ability to scroll the canvas horizontally by holding down the Shift key while useste mouse wheel or the ability to zoom in and out of an image without pressing the Ctrl key.
Additionally, Pinta 1.7.1 allows users to swap primary and secondary colors in the palette by pressing X, and to move one pixel in the Move Selected Pixels and Move Selection tools using the arrow keys.

The application as mentioned above is available for almost all operating systems and you can download it from the official websiteσελίδα:

For those who have not connected it, the name Pinta comes from the rewriting of the Microsoft Paint application.
