Analysis of the data confiscated by French researchers in last week's raid held at its headquarters Google in Paris could possibly last years, according to French financial prosecutor Eliane Houlette.
Dozens of French police officers polices raided Google's headquarters on Tuesday, investigating the company on suspicion of tax evasion.
"We have collected a lot of data computer,” Houlette said in an interview with radio Europe 1, iTele TV and Le Monde newspaper, adding that 96 people were involved in the raid.
"We have to analyze (the data)… it will take months, I hope it will not be years, but we are very limited in resources."
Google, which has announced that it fully complies with French law, is under pressure across Europe from public opinion and angry governments in the way that multinationals exploit their global presence to minimize their tax liabilities.
