PortableApps (29.2.1) 450+ apps that run from USB

The PortableApps is one of the projects I have been following for many years. The project is constantly evolving, with regular updates to which new applications are added.

So, an idea that started in 2004 to create a portable version of Mozilla Firefox, today has reached the version 29.2.1(Mar 18, 2024) which contains 450+ mobile apps (49GB) with over a billion downloads.

If you're not familiar with them, mobile apps ( Apps), is the raison d'être of the PortableApps project. These are versions of certain programs that do not need to be installed on a system to run. Instead, thanks to its monolithic architecture, the executable has all the necessary configuration files, so that it can be used on any computer without .

The PortableApps project has a wide range of portable applications that you can simply insert into a USB stick.

With USB, you can use your favorite applications on any computer.

All the apps it has on PortableApps are . It should be mentioned here that PortableApps does not contain pirated software on its platform, although almost all commercial applications are available in portable versions on the Internet.

But in the lists of applications that its pages contain, you will find many free ones which do not require installation.
